Information and Accommodation around Argyll, Scotland

This castle was built in the late 16th Centuary. It has a central or main building with three stories and also round towers at opposite corners.

This was where John Carswell lived before moving a mile up the road to Carnasserie Castle when he was made Bishop of the Isles (protestant). The castle has recently been restored after lying in ruin for some time.

The castle is now a holiday home for rent.
