Both cottages comfortably sleep 6 and are ideal for either families or couples. The homes are ideally located a "stones throw" from the shores of Loch Etive and have spectacular views that take in both the Loch and Ben Cruachan. The cottages are a leisurely walk to either the villages of Benderloch or Connel where you will find a licensed general store and for the more energetic there is the climb up the forest path to Ben Lora or a meander through the many miles of Barcaldine forest paths. The cottages are also within easy reach of the Oban to Fort William cycle path - a wonderful scenic route almost entirely traffic free using parts of the old railway line, forest paths and along the roadside - a fantastic oppertunity for safe cycling.
Nestled on the banks of Loch Etive, this charming 2 bedroom one and a half storey self catering chalet has glorious views and magnificent sunsets across Loch Etive. The self catering accommodation is quietly positioned in Old Shore Road on the outskirts of Connel Village, The Boathouse Chalet is a peaceful and picturesque place to spend a relaxing holiday and an ideal base to explore this wonderfully scenic area of Scotland.
The Boathouse Chalet has a welcoming open plan sitting room that looks out on the garden and down to the shore thus allowing you to enjoy a relaxing holiday while appreciating the views over the loch. The self catering accommodation boasts a patio that leads out to the garden and down to the shore where you can take advantage of the long summer evenings, watching the sun set over the bay whilst viewing the local wildlife at close quarters. You have spectacular views of Britain's only tidal cascade, the famous Falls of Lora.
For the last few years we have been welcoming guests to our self catering cottage and many return year after year. Guests can enjoy what we love about the West Coast, with all it offers for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, climbing, sailing, kayaking, riding and golf. Oban provides an ideal base for such activities and after a long day outdoors, Brandystone Cottage offers a relaxing haven where you can curl up in front of the log burning stove with a good book or watch an exciting film. A wide selection of books and DVDs are supplied along with some board games for all the family.
The Cottage has wheelchair access and is double glazed and centrally heated. Price is inclusive of gas, electricity, cleaning materials, and all linen (bedding, towels and tea towels). Regrettably pets are not allowed and we kindly request no smoking on the premises
